The craft of playlist creating is a toilsome and often sometimes unappreciated art form. As a curator myself, I feel that it's my duty bring my listeners an on auditory journey. It might be a little surprise here, an unexpected oomph there. It's both yin and yang, the ratio of good vibes to fun times is determined to a scientific degree. I take this stuff very seriously.
